LIGHTING F/X GENERATORS:

Flicker DMX series units are identical in size and operation to the Flicker 2D 6K, 12K, & 24K units below except that after the effect is set in the unit a DMX signal will turn the unit on and dim up to the DMX output level desired. Can ALSO be used as a stand alone unit without DMX! Has Address Select switches, Data Received indicator, DMX in AND Interface out connectors.

Flicker 2D 2K, 6K, 12K & 24K

Flicker 2D series units are compact single channel flicker units with 2,000, 6,000, 12,000 and 24,000 watt* output capability. The 16 different selectable programs in an integrated circuit memory provide automatic random or regular changing light. High resolution flicker for several level changes, not just an up down flicker. When the low dimmer level is set and the effects are enabled via the on button, the high dimmer level becomes active. Action (flicker, etc.) takes place between these two settings for subtle or dramatic effect. Speed control is extremely wide range from nearly stopped to very fast. Several of the programs are digital samples of actual events including: firelight, candles, TV sets, movie screens, lightning, and many other changing light sources. On/off buttons allow manual flicker. Operates as dimmer only without flicker effect if desired. Interface output DIRECTLY DRIVES OUR DIMMERS. Drives several at one time. Flicker 2D 2K standard configuration features color coded tactile feedback on, off/reset buttons, low dimmer and high dimmer level controls, flicker delay (speed control) knob, BLF type fuse, 4 toggle switches for (16) effect selection, ground and output activity indicators, u-ground ac power connectors. 120 volt ac input, 50/60 hz, maximum peak load limit exceeds connector capability, size appx. 2x3x4". *Flicker 2D6K, 2D12K and the 240 volt 2D24K operate the same as the 2D and are the same size as their counterpart 6K, 12K, AND 24K ac dimmers.

Shadowmaker

The ultimate light effects controller. Packing a great deal of lighting control flexibility into a compact 3x4x7 inch package, this unit features 3 completely isolated dimmer circuits wired to 3 standard "u-ground" type isolated plugs and sockets, making special connectors and high capacity power sources unnecessary! This flexible device can be used as a dimmer, a cueable dimmer, a silent switch, a flicker generator, or a chase generator!. The 3 dimmers are dual level, addressable by the flicker generator, which allows the selected effect to operate between preset high and preset low light levels. Apparently complex lighting effects become simple yet effective. 16 programs including firelight, candles, TV sets, movie screens, lightning storms, as well as several chaser/tracer variations, are actual digitized events contained in solid state memory providing up to 30 minutes of non-repeating effects. You can even design your own flicker effects (call for information on this feature). The rate control affords endless variations. If 20 amps per channel is not enough to do the job an Interface signal connector for each channel allows remote control of external devices like our dimmers for nearly unlimited lighting power! The 3 flicker outputs are INTERACTIVELY RANDOM so that the three different lighting angles can be used to create moving shadows as a real fire does. A sync input allows several Shadowmakers to run from a single clock source or one Shadowmakers effect can be single stepped by a motion control or animation computer.

2K Flicker Dimmer

This economical effects device features a 2,000 watt load capacity. The no frills control configuration provides a high resolution flicker for several level changes, not just an up down flicker. Just set the low dimmer and high dimmer limit controls and switch the effects generator on. Flicker action takes place between these two dimmer settings. Operates as dimmer only without flicker effect if desired. No minimum load necessary for proper operation. Same general outline as the 2K Dimmer the unit has output and ground integrity indicators, low dimmer and high dimmer level controls, flicker/off/on switch, flicker delay (speed control) knob, u-ground ac connectors and BLF 20 amp fuse. There are three interactive outputs to MAKE SHADOWS MOVE for very realistic firelight, etc. A sync input allows several Flicker 3D units to run from a single clock source or one Flicker 3D's effect can be single stepped by a motion control or animation computer. Random 12

Practical SWX

Switch set lights silently in dead sync with action. Unit will slave a 2,000 watt load to a single trigger load. Actor turns on/off a bedside lamp or other load, up to 600 watts, to automatically turn on/off the set lights, etc. Reversal switch inverts this effect, i.e. trigger load goes on and main load goes off (also affecting Interface Output to DIRECTLY DRIVE our dimmers). Optical Interface

Aim this self contained unit at a light source, adjust the brightness and background controls and the connected dimmer(s) follow on and off. Compatible with our dimmers through the Interface connector. Works great with flame sources, actor cued practical lamps, etc. The newest release of this product has a linear voltage output corresponding to light input which drives our Pro + Dimmers for exact replication of fire and other light sources!!
